Well that was interesting….

ScriptWarrior here… it’s been a few months again but i promise this time that I will be blogging more often.   Quite a bit has happened since the last time i posted.  I did do quite a bit of work on the DSC Non-domain joined Azure IAAS project that i spoke about in my last post.  It was great experience and I was excited to place the configuration into production and let it rip.  I was about a week or two from deployment and unfortunately i was unable to complete the project.

I came into work on Dec 1st, and was notified that my position was no longer really a thing with the company i was working for.  It was a complete departure from normal for me and i was unemployed for the first time in quite a few years.  I started to reach out to my extensive network and weighing out some opportunities that i had been keeping an eye on.  Then literally 4 days after becoming unemployed… i was employed again!

I have now joined an amazing team in Orlando FL called Nebbia Technology.  I am working as an Azure Cloud / DevOps Consultant and could not be any happier.  I am super excited for 2017 and all that it has in store.

I will make it a point to be posting back here at least once a month minimum.

That’s my End Of Year / New Years Resolution 🙂

Check out the Nebbia Technology blog post about me joining the company … here.

Merry Christmas and See you all next year!

Goodbye Raymond James….. Hello Serve Enterprises :)

NOVEMBER WHAT!!!  WOW it has been a WHILE since  I posted to my poor neglected blog.  Scriptwarrior has been SUUUUUUUPPPPPER BUSY with all sorts of craziness.

Here’s a quick rundown on what’s been going on in my world in the last 6 months.  I moved to the 3rd shift on weekends at Raymond James in order to cover a vacancy that was left in our team.  I worked 3 – 13 hour days a week for about 8 months and it quickly got old.  I enjoyed the work I was doing, it’s just that the overnights and lack of social life started to take it’s toll.  I reluctantly gave my 2 weeks notice about 3 weeks ago and with a heavy heart, I left Raymond James.

I have accepted and started a new position with Serve Enterprises.  Serve is a great company and has a very interesting business model.  They specialize in Person 2 Person payments, which is an emerging industry that has a very bright future.   I am working as an Application Engineer on the Monitoring team.  The team is by their own admission, good at monitoring hardware but do not have as much experience monitoring software.  Since the business is at heart a Software as a Service this is becoming vitally important.  I am really looking forward to flexing my Powershell muscles and am excited about the future at Serve.com

Check out the www.serve.com main website for more information about what we do.

I promise to update more frequently…

Happy Mothers Day!

What an amazing day.  We spent the morning Praising and Serving the Lord at Beaming Hope Church in St. Petersburg.  Then off to my beautiful Mother-In-Law’s house for an awesome family lunch and a relaxing afternoon.  Now some time for just me and my beautiful wife to enjoy the rest of our evening.

God Bless all you Mothers out there!  Especially those that are fighting for the freedom that we enjoy every day.  You are in our thoughts and prayers.
